Red cross. Looming pinebox.
Don't wait.
Xs on southern homes.
Debt plague. Dead zones.
Young rage.
The sick are the strong.
Desire-cinders that won't go out.
Erase.
Stuck in helices on finite timepiece.
Hold it.
You're numb again,
using fingers to count friends.
Don't miss.
Unclaimed and undone,
unmade and ever-stunned.
Toil in dreamsweat.
Erase.
Stumbled across this great band because of Martha the band and I just love their sometimes melancholy garage-sound.
Also I like the acoustic songs.
I still remember seeing them live in my hometown when they were touring with Erica Freas and asked them for a setlist to have something to remember the great concert.
It´s hanging on my wall since that day :) Ninehundredninetynine
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

Leaning into the sparse, impressionistic sound of 2023's albu "Nature Morte," the Montreal metallurgists sound as heavy and radiant as ever. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 21, 2024
